Two people are dead and a third person is injured after a shooting involving a Kansas City police officer Friday night, but few details were immediately available

A video posted to TikTok shows the moments when a man was held down by multiple Kansas City police officers inside a Walmart. The man’s uncle said while he was waiting outside someone told him his nephew was being tackled by police.

Little was immediately known about the deadly encounter as the Missouri State Highway Patrol was in the early stages of its investigation, an agency spokesman said.

An uncle of the man in the video said his nephew was accused of stealing a pizza, which he said he had a receipt for, and was tackled by officers.

The Missouri Highway Patrol told The Star investigators were working to determine whether anyone fired a gun other than the officer.
