Commuters were moving again Monday after a major disruption on Amtrak and NJ Transit. Service between New York City and Philadelphia was fully restored by the late afternoon, with only minor delays. Amtrak cited overhead wire damage for the initial suspension earlier in the morning.

Amtrak train service coming into and out of New York Penn Station has been restored following lengthy delays and cancellations earlier Monday.

Amtrak and New Jersey Transit said Penn Station trains have been restored with "limited service," after morning overhead wire damage caused service suspensions on Monday morning.
