The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested a teen accused of threatening to suffocate and kill her 1-year-old baby.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man accused of shooting another man after an argument. Kelly Downey Jr., 22, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

For two days in a row, a 4-year-old child wandered away from his Baton Rouge home. On the second day he was struck and injured by an SUV. His mother has been arrested.
