BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man accused of shooting another man after an argument. Kelly Downey Jr., 22, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

Terrance Anderson, 19, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 6, and charged with attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and simple criminal damage to property.

The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a teenager was killed Wednesday night. Kenneth Burrell, 15, was shot in the 5100 block of Highland Road around 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 4. Police said a 15-year-old boy was charged with negligent homicide and illegal use of weapons in connection to the shooting.
