Prosecutors say they won’t call a suspended state trooper to testify in the upcoming trial of a Cohasset man accused of killing his wife, the Boston Globe has reported.

Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor led the investigations in both the Karen Read and Brian Walshe cases.

Michael Proctor, a disgraced Massachusetts State Police trooper, was suspended following his embarrassing testimony in the Karen Read case.

Proctor was the designated State Police case officer, or a lead investigator, on both the Read and Walshe cases, according to legal filings.
