Cher has officially ended her bid for conservatorship over her son, Elijah Blue Allman, after a nine-month court battle. The 78-year-old singer filed for conservatorship over her 48-year-old son, citing his alleged drug abuse issues and inability to "manage his own financial resources.

Allman's legal team said the development will allow the two parties to "to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond."

Nearly nine months after Cher claimed her son was incapable of managing his financial assets, the superstar has ended her conservatorship petition.

Allman is the son of Cher and late rock star Gregg Allman, who passed away in 2017. Cher applied for conservatorship in 2023, claiming Allman could not properly take care of himself or "manage his own financial resources" because of his alleged struggles with drug abuse.
