Cher has officially ended her bid for conservatorship over her son, Elijah Blue Allman, after a nine-month court battle. The 78-year-old singer filed for conservatorship over her 48-year-old son, citing his alleged drug abuse issues and inability to "manage his own financial resources.

Allman's legal team said the development will allow the two parties to "to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond."

"This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today," the statement said.
