The House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday limiting federal tax credits from flowing to electric vehicles with parts produced China, the latest effort by Republicans to increase pressure on the Chinese Communist Party and present a contrast with the Biden-Harris administration.

The United States House of Representatives has narrowly voted to approve legislation to tighten rules limiting Chinese content in vehicles qualifying for US electric vehicle (EV) tax credits. The House voted on Thursday 217 to 192 to approve the bill,

Seven Democrats crossed the aisle to support the bill: Reps. Yadira Caraveo of Colorado, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Jared Golden of Maine, Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington and David Scott of Georgia.
