WASHINGTON, DC – Progressive strategist Faiz Shakir, who ran Sen. Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign in 2020, has announced a late bid to lead the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

The Democratic National Committee chose Mr. Martin, the leader of the Minnesota Democrats, to help oversee a demoralized national party split over its future and its response to President Trump.
