The New York Giants only signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal, but his performance in 2025 could have long-lasting effects for the franchise.

Wilson is coming off a season where he had to battle for the starting QB spot with Justin Fields on the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ended up taking over the role for the back half of the 2024 campaign, posting a 6-5 record in 11 starts. Now with the Giants, Willson will serve as a short-term solution at QB while Dart waits to take the reigns.

Darius Slayton did not say it, and he might not have ever heard of it, but there is certainly a chance the sentiment fits, when considering what Slayton does well and what Russell Wilson has been known to do exceedingly well at the NFL level for the past 13 years.
