Preliminary magnitude 3.4 earthquake strikes South Bay
The tremor struck at 3:15 p.m. northeast of the Alum Rock area with a depth of approximately 5 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The agency has not recorded any aftershocks, and there have not been any reports of damage. According to the USGS “Did you feel it?” report, at least 1,174 people said they felt the earthquake.
