Virginia voters will make their choice for governor and attorney general on Tuesday, and all 100 seats in the House of Delegates are also on the ballot.
Days after the Senate advanced a funding package to end the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history, the House of Representatives is set to vote on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The House voted 222 to 209 to end the record-long government shutdown Wednesday night. Six Democrats voted with Republicans to pass the bill, while two Republicans voted against. The bill now heads to President Trump’s desk where he is expected to sign it.
The special election will determine who will fill the seat left open by retiring Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Green.
