Hundreds of troops have begun leaving the Al Udeid Air Base as President Donald Trump considers a range of options in response to the Iranian regime’s deadly crackdown on protesters.

The British embassy in Iran has been temporarily closed, a move which comes after the UK withdrew military personnel from a US base in Qatar.

"Iran has formally told the government of Qatar and has formally told the government of Saudi Arabia that it will hit American targets in those countries."
