According to the list the retailer posted on its restructuring website, Joann is closing 500 of its 800 locations and 36 of them are in the Sunshine State, including one in Ocala.

Craft retailer Joann is no longer accepting gift cards as it moves to close all of its stores, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for a second time, leading to frustration among its remaining customers.

Fabric and craft shoppers who still have gift cards for Joann, which is closing all of its locations, aren't happy. When announcing that every location would shutter, the U.S. retailer said gift cards will no longer be accepted at any store.

The policy discontinuing the use of gift cards reportedly went into effect on Feb. 28, leaving shoppers upset as going-out-of-business sales continue.
