Iran has consistently sought to link its ceasefire with the United States to a concurrent cessation of hostilities in Lebanon. Tehran’s goal is to save Hezbollah, regardless of its stated aim of sparing Lebanon additional suffering.

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi, asserted today, Friday, the necessity of concerted regional and international efforts to solidify the ceasefire in Lebanon and support the Lebanese government in its efforts to assert its sovereignty over all Lebanese territories and to monopolize armament in the hands of the state.
