Last night, a proactive Temple Station deputy was patrolling the 100 block of 1 st Avenue in the unincorporated area of Arcadia when he spotted a vehicle with multiple equipment violations. The Temple Station deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and conducted his investigation.

Police in Los Angeles have identified the suspect believed to be responsible for the murders of three of the city’s homeless community who were shot and killed as they slept this week, Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore announced on Saturday.

Four killings in Los Angeles occurred over four consecutive days. Police said three homeless men were killed in L.A. and a fourth man elsewhere.

Jerrid Joseph Powell, 33, had already been in custody for the robbery and killing of a fourth man

Officials believe the man also killed a fourth person in San Dimas, Calif. The killings happened within four days, authorities said.
