San Diego officials said at least two people are dead after the plane crashed in a neighborhood, causing multiple residences and cars to catch fire.

Multiple people have died after a business jet slammed into homes in a San Diego military housing community just before 4 a.m. Thursday, spilling jet fuel down the street that ignited several cars, authorities said.

A small jet plane crashed near a military housing neighborhood outside San Diego but the number of onboard fatalities is not yet known.
