A small jet plane crashed near a military housing neighborhood outside San Diego but the number of onboard fatalities is not yet known.

Multiple fatalities have been confirmed after a small plane crashed into the San Diego military housing neighborhood of Tierrasanta early Thursday morning. At a news conference, San Diego Assistant Fire Chief Dan Eddy said two people have died and eight others were injured as a result of the crash.
