Auroras might be seen again tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 12, across the nation thanks to another powerful coronal mass ejection that's headed for Earth.
(NEXSTAR) — An incredibly strong geomagnetic storm brought the northern lights into California, Arkansas, and even Florida, all areas that rarely get a chance to see the celestial colors. Much of the U.S. may again get to see the aurora Wednesday, if conditions pan out.
A strong G2 geomagnetic storm from a coronal mass ejection could make the Northern Lights visible across up to two dozen U.S. states on November 12. The best viewing time is between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
