Aryna Sabalenka would not be denied hoisting the US Open championship trophy this year. Sabalenka, the world No. 2 from Belarus, defeated American Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 in front of a pro-US crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium to win the US Open for the first time.

Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula (USA) lost to Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova (Czech Republic) in three sets in the second round of women's doubles competition at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. That ended Pegula's Olympic run as she also lost her second-round singles match.
