A small plane crashed in dense fog in a Tierrasanta neighborhood early Thursday morning, killing at least two people on the plane and burning several cars and homes in a neighborhood of military families.

Three people died when a light aircraft crashed into military homes in US on May 22, destroying homes and cars. Investigators are probing the cause of the crash.

Back at the Navy Exchange, Liberty Military Housing workers walked through the parking lot, passing out food and donuts to evacuated families. The agency, which manages the Murphy Canyon properties, was working to help more than three dozen families find temporary housing.
