CLEBURNE, Texas - Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of an 18-year-old woman in Cleburne earlier this month. Giovanni Jimenez Diaz, a 20-year-old from Cleburne, was arrested on Friday. He has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Kaylee Merchant.

While responding a shooting call about 1 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Poindexter Avenue, officers learned the shooting victim was taken to another location, according to police. Officers rerouted to that location and found an injured woman in the passenger seat of a white SUV.
