CNN generated confusion on Friday after it announced it would host a GOP debate at a New Hampshire college next month, but the college said it had no knowledge of it.

On Thursday night, CNN announced it would be hosting two debates, independent of the RNC: on Jan. 10 in Des Moines, Iowa, and on Jan. 21 in Goffstown, New Hampshire. DeSantis already pledged to participate in the Iowa debate.

The Republican National Committee released the party’s presidential candidates Friday to organize their own debates next month before the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, a shift in policy that could increase the number of showdowns and allow the highest polling candidates to limit access to their rivals.

New Hampshire officials said they had no knowledge of a CNN debate planned in the Granite State next month. Here's the latest.
