KwaZulu-Natal police pounced on suspects at the Zimbali Estate in Ballito on Wednesday who were allegedly linked to the mass shooting in Richard’s Bay.

The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Community Safety has welcomed measures and extra resources put in place to track down the suspects who opened fire on patrons at a tavern in Daveyton on Saturday.

"Police have launched a manhunt for at least five suspects, who shot and fatally wounded five people at a shopping centre's parking lot in Richards Bay CBD on Tuesday morning. The suspects reportedly fled from the scene of the crime in a blue VW Polo.

Two suspects linked to a mass murder in Richards Bay have been killed in a shootout with police. Five people were shot and killed in a parking lot in the Richards Bay CBD Tuesday. Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says officers from the KZN Stability Unit received information on Wednesday about the suspects' whereabouts.
