Harvard University faculty sued the Trump administration on Friday over a federal assessment of the school’s spending amid allegations of their “failure” to protect students from antisemitism. The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and its campus chapter are both plaintiffs in the lawsuit which said failures were “unspecified” according to legal documents.

Labor unions representing professors and other educators have sued the Trump administration over its revocation of $400 million in congressionally authorized federal research funding to Columbia University following campus protests over the Israel-Hamas war,

The suit by the Harvard chapter of the American Association of University Professors, filed in Massachusetts federal court, alleges that the administration's federal funding review violates the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
