Unless you’ve been holed up in a Scottish castle dodging murderous schemes, you know that Alan Cumming is an absolute delight as the host of Peacock’s reality show The Traitors. And now, the Emmys officially agree.

Although Alan Cumming couldn’t be at this weekend’s 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, he wasn’t about to sleep on the celebration. The Traitors host reacted to winning Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program,

Alan Cumming took home the 2024 Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality Competition Program Emmy Award last night for Peacock's The Traitors. The win ended RuPaul's 8-year streak as winner for RuPaul's Drag Race.

For the first time in nine years, the Emmy race for Best Reality Host has been won by somebody not named RuPaul Charles. Alan Cumming (“The Traitors”) staged a massive upset at the 2024 Emmys to win the trophy for the second season of Peacock’s whodunnit mystery series.

Alan Cumming emerged as the victor and marked his first Emm. What is more critical is that he broke the long-standing hold on the number one title for a moderator of any reality or competition program previously held by RuPaul.
