The man charged with attempting to assassinate Donald Trump after allegedly positioning himself with a rifle outside one of the former president's Florida golf courses on Sept. 15 pleaded not guilty on Monday to five federal charges.

Federal prosecutors requested an indefinite delay in scheduling the trial for the man charged in an apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

The new federal indictment in Florida comes on top of two gun charges against Ryan W. Routh, an itinerant contractor with an extensive criminal record.
