By Daniel Wiessner (Reuters) -President Donald Trump's ability to reshape federal agencies that were meant to be independent from the White House will be tested on Friday as a U.S. appeals court considers whether he can remove Democratic members from two federal labor boards.

Cathy Harris and Gwynne Wilcox, Democratic board members of independent agencies, argue that President Trump lacked the authority to fire them, citing federal law and Supreme Court precedent.
