ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — A single-engine plane traveling from Iowa to Indiana crashed in a central Indiana cornfield Friday, killing everyone on board, authorities said.

The plane left Concord’s Buchanan Field Airport at about 11:33 a.m. and crash-landed in Petaluma at 11:55 a.m., according to data from FlightAware, a flight tracker website. The weather forecast for the area showed calm winds increasing to 5 to 7 mph western winds this afternoon, which are generally safe flying conditions for the area.
