Sudan’s army is considering a US proposal for a three-month ceasefire to end hostilities that have sparked global alarm over allegations of mass atrocities.

Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces agreed to a proposal from the United States for a humanitarian ceasefire, they said on Thursday in a statement.
