Several states are bracing for severe winter weather this weekend as forecasters from the NWS issue warnings for snow and ice.
Colorado transportation officials will close the scenic, stomach-churning highway over Independence Pass this weekend ahead of a winter storm and may keep it closed for the rest of the season.
A lake-effect snow system is poised to bring Chicagoans their first taste of winter weather this weekend, unleashing up to six inches of snow.
