The fast-moving winter storms could dump foot or more of snow in portions of the Great Lakes and interior New England through this weekend.
We’re taking a little break from our very active winter weather this weekend. We’ll see some occasional snow showers, but nothing that is expected to accumulate. And temperatures will be seasonable – not terribly cold to start the weekend.

The first system of the weekend arrives Friday night through early Saturday. This is on the leading edge of an arctic front, so it's still mild outside when the moisture first arrives.
