Fast food chain Wendy's is set to close hundreds of restaurants around the country. CNN is reporting that in a call on Friday, Interim CEO Ken Cook told analysts a “mid single-digit percentage” of approximately 6,000 U.S. locations could close, which amounts to between 200 and 350 restaurants.
Wendy's has 53 locations in Connecticut, according its website, including one in Norwich.
Wendy’s, one of America’s most recognizable fast-food chains, is preparing to close nearly 300 restaurants across the United States by the end of 2026—a move that marks its most significant retrenchment in half a decade.
