“Snow squalls pose serious threats to personal safety and property and produce costly transportation disruptions due to multi-vehicle pileups,” the NWS warns. “There is no safe place on a highway when snow squalls are approaching.”
The National Weather Service issued a snow squall warning at 2:56 p.m. on Sunday in effect until 4 p.m. for Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties.
Officials at the National Weather Service have warned drivers that "severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous."
On Monday at 10:30 p.m. an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 4 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
At 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm warning valid from Wednesday 4 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Somerset County.
On Thursday at 4:52 p.m. EST a winter storm warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at 11 a.m. EST for Chippewa County.
