A quick-moving winter storm will likely bring the first meaningful snowfall of the season to the D.C. region tonight, with slippery travel expected overnight into early Sunday as temperatures stay cold enough for snow to stick.

A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 11:10 p.m. in effect until Sunday at 7 a.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties.

Up to three inches of snow is forecast in the city and across the region from late Saturday into Sunday morning.
