US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz reported that US President Donald Trump sought personal talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Pope's funeral, informs The Telegraph. According to Waltz,

President Trump and Ukraine's President Zelenskyy met privately ahead of the funeral of Pope Francis and "had a very productive discussion," the White House said Saturday.

It was their first face-to-face meeting since they argued in front of cameras in the Oval Office in February — and comes as efforts intensify to end Russia's war in Ukraine.
